With the beginning of Tihar, the district administration offices are working to fix the time for Deusi Bhailo by issuing notices. Due to security reasons, most of the district administration offices have imposed a rule that only Deusi Bhailo can be played until 10 pm.
District Administration Office Lalitpur has issued a notification on Friday evening asking to play Deusi only till 10 o’clock. Even in Taplejung, it is said that Deusi and Bhailo can be played only till 10 pm. The district administration office issued a notification on Wednesday and instructed to celebrate without affecting other people, villages, neighborhoods, communities and public life.
The district administration office Lamjung has banned playing Deusibhailo after 10 pm. Chief District Officer Ramakrishna Adhikari has asked to play Deusibheilo from 7 am to 10 pm in a dignified manner and without affecting peace and security.On Thursday, there was a meeting of the security mechanism with the chief district officers of Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur in the valley. The meeting had prepared to fix the same time to play Deusi Bhailo in all the districts of the valley. Accordingly, on Friday, Lalitpur set the time to play Deusi Bhailo until 10 o’clock, but Kathmandu did not set it.
On Friday, Balen Shah, the mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, put a post on social media on Facebook with the information that security arrangements have been made through the city police to play Deusi Bhailo until 1 am. He has also asked to play Deusi with confidence saying that the city police will provide security.
After this status, the Kathmandu administration has not set a time for Deusi to play.
Kathmandu Metropolitan City Police Chief Rajunath Pandey said that 5 patrol teams will be mobilized within Kathmandu Metropolitan City to help the Nepal Police.
We are mobilizing 5 teams for the security of Deusi Bhailo for patrolling, for this we are coordinating with the Nepal Police and the Armed Police Force.
